Paris Hilton's “traumatized” mental state was called into question today by a woman suing her for slander.
Zeta Graff, an actress and film maker previously filed a $10 million lawsuit against Hilton accusing her of libel and slander for allegedly planting false information about her in the New York Post in 2005. The trial in the case, was due to begin next week, but was postponed following Paris’ sentence on May 4 to 45 days in jail for violating her probation twice in a DUI case.

According to City News Service, the trial was delayed until August 22 by Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Linda Lefkowitz because Hilton’s psychiatrist said the heiress was too traumatized following her May 4 sentence.
Earlier today, Graff issued a statement calling into question Hilton’s reported traumatization in relation to the heiress’ recent visit to a nightclub.
“If Ms. Hilton was nightclubbing on Saturday night, she should not have been representing to the court on Monday morning that she was unable to participate in the trial," CNS reported Graff said. "Ms. Hilton should be required to explain her actions and account for them. Under the law, even Ms. Hilton is supposed to be held responsible for her actions."
CNS received no reply to repeated attempts to contact Hilton’s publicist, Elliot Mintz.
Graff once dated Paris Latsis, a Greek shipping heir who later dated Hilton. The two
Paris'were eventually engaged, but broke it off.
The story in question ran July 2, 2005 in the New York Post. It was reported that Graff “went berserk” on Hilton at a nightclub in London, England. Page Six wrote that Graff tried to rip off a $4 million necklace from Hilton’s neck before she was removed from the nightclub.
Graff accuses “Hilton, her spokesman and others acting on her behalf” of concocting the story.
